i'm not a professional critic in art or photography pero i can say na very realistic ang pic na to. it shows the kind of life some of our kababayans are experiencing right now. it sends a message to its viewers, letting them feel their humanity, making them realize how fortunate they are and that there are actually people who emphatize. nice pic!! pang gallery!! hehe!!

This is great in B/W. Great geometry, interesting scene. Like the details such as bicycles and 3 faces staring out!

Reminds me of the barumbarong we saw along the LRT walkway and the varied posters on them--most especially the one that says something on being soundproof. Too bad we weren't able to take a shot of it.

@louise: yeah, those mini babels. i recently passed by the area last december, and that motel signboard wasn't there anymore :(

medyo mahirap ito: picture sa loob ng unang car, yung para sa mga babae at senior citizen lang. puwede ring kuha sa cubao station, kapag rush hour at kabubukas pa lang ng mga pinto. kaya lang baka may umagaw sa camera mo e.

@yol: hindi ko kaya magcross-dress para sa'yo, pero subukan ko minsan yung bagong bukas ng pinto. bawal yata magpiktyur dun, pero naipuslit ko na naman isang beses, hehe

palagay ko yung tatlong mukha na tinutukoy ni Daroru ay yung nasa poster. harhar. at akala ata ni yol na babae ka o kaya'y senior citizen. or, baka sya ang babae. what do you think? by the way, gusto ko ang litratong ito. tila isang diorama. sang-ayon ako na naging mahusay ang litrato dahil sa matingkad na detalye.

@Chinky: kala ko naman, ang talas ng mata nya! pero seryoso, meron ngang babae na may kargang sanggol at isang batang babae na nakadungaw pababa sa tabi nya.

nag-gagaguhan nga lang pala kami ni yol, pero kagalang-galang talaga yan. siguradong Lalake yun, capital L.

Whew. This reminds me of a setting in John Grisham's The Testament. This looks like a Brazilian favella in Corumba in the Grand Pantanal area of Brazil. Hehe. I am not reminded of poverty here. Instead, this says so much about life the edge. I like the B and W theme. Melancholic yet mystic.
